1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula 1LE

In 1999, Pontiac built a total of 20 “factory-built” Firebird Formulas with the 1LE Performance Autocross Package, in addition to the WS6 Performance Package.. This race package consisted of larger front and rear stabilizers and stiffer springs. Also included were special Koni double adjustable shocks and control arm bushings.

The 1LE option also deleted a number of items that were standard on the Firebird Formula and prevented ordering other options. The purpose was to reduce weight in the car, making it well suited for racing.

At the end of the 1999 model year, Pontiac dropped the 1LE option package, with only a handful of these purpose-built cars produced. Most of the 20 cars that were built have been modified and/or made into race cars. However, this one has lead a pampered and unmodified life in a controlled environment car collection. Currently showing only 28,000 pampered miles. Original window sticker and Pontiac factory order books included.
